How are exams scored?

The CLT, CLT10, CLT8, and CLT7 use a number system called a scaled score with a scale that ranges from 0 to 120. Each of three sections (Verbal Reasoning, Grammar/Writing, and Quantitative Reasoning) are scored out of 40.

For CLT3-6, six separate scaled scores will be reported for each exam:

  • Verbal Reasoning (Overall)
    • Verbal Reasoning (Content)
    • Verbal Reasoning (Reasoning)
  • Quantitative Reasoning (Overall)
    • Quantitative Reasoning (Content)
    • Quantitative Reasoning (Reasoning)
Students will also see a percentage correct for fundamentals/secondary skills, domains, and subdomains.
